About
You talk to the person
who does the work.
Corner Post is one person: me, Corey Putney. No account manager, no offshore build team, no "let me check with our developer." I'm the developer.
The short version
Nine years of big software.
Now the shop down the road.
Where I learned it
I spent nine years designing software at Dell, Intuit, Walmart, and EDO. The work was measured hard: a redesign at Dell cut quote to delivery time by 40 percent, and at Walmart the forecasting tools I worked on made planners measurably better at their jobs. Big companies pay for design because it moves numbers. Small businesses deserve the same treatment, and mostly they get a template.
Why local
I live in Leander. The businesses I build for are the ones I drive past, eat at, and get my truck fixed at. When your site breaks the day before a holiday weekend, I'm not a ticket queue in another time zone. I'm twenty minutes away and I answer my own phone.
What I actually build
Working websites, not brochures, and the practical software around them: the tool your customers call about all day, the plumbing that texts back missed calls and asks happy customers for reviews. The full breakdown is on the services page.
The bet I'm making
Most local web shops keep the domain and the hosting in their name so leaving them hurts. I put everything in your name on day one, which means the only thing keeping you around is that the work is good. I'm comfortable with that bet.
How I work
A few rules
I don't bend
Plain English
You'll never hear "responsive framework" on a call. You'll hear "it works on phones" and "people nearby can find you on Google." If I can't explain it in one sentence, I haven't earned the right to bill you for it.
One number
You get a fixed quote in writing before work starts. No hourly meter, no surprise invoice, no charge for picking up the phone. If the scope changes, we agree on a new number before I touch anything.
Honest scope
There's usually one item on the wish list that won't earn its cost, and I'll tell you which one. Sometimes the honest answer is that you don't need a new website yet: you need your Google listing fixed. I'll say that too, and that conversation is free.
Your name on everything
Domain, files, hosting, Google listing: registered to you from day one. If we part ways, you lose nothing but my phone number, and you can keep that too.
The corridor from
Leander on out
Based in Leander, working with businesses in Cedar Park, Liberty Hill, Georgetown, and Round Rock. For the first conversation I'll come to you: the best site briefs happen standing in the shop, not on a video call.
